Bear Creek, PA

Bear Creek Township in Luzerne County has a total area of 67.8 square miles and a population as of the 2020 census of 2,752, which is only about 40 residents per square mile.  

Bear Creek is a scenic peaceful area with the Lackawanna State Forest within it’s northern borders and within the southeast lies the Bear Creek Preserve.  

The Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, 1-476 runs through Bear Creek Township making it easily accessible from all the major highway systems in Pennsylvania and New York.  The great outdoors is a major attraction here.

Bear Creek Village is a small community located within the township with a population of approximately 250.
