Mountain Top, PA
Mountain Top is located in Luzerne County along Route 309 south of Wilkes-Barre. It is situated in Fairview Township, Wright Township and a small part of Rice Township. As of the 2010 census, the population was 10,982.
Mountain Top and the Back Mountain (Dallas Area) are the two most popular areas in Luzerne County for new transplants due to their above-average public schools and newer homes in subdivisions. Mountain Top offers clean air, fresh water, low taxes, friendly people, scenic surroundings, and residents think it’s a great place to live and raise a family.
Mountain Top is located in the Crestwood Area School District which covers over 110 square miles and includes Dennison Township, Dorrance Township, Fairview Township, Nuangola Borough, Rice Township, Slocum Township, White Haven Borough, Wright Township, and Penn Lake Borough.
